Introduction
Build static documentation for libraries, SDKs and APIs with Monoline Docs. Write Markdown or MDX, configure in YAML, and publish with navigation and search.
On this page
Monoline Docs turns Markdown and MDX into a static documentation site with navigation, search, highlighted code and a table of contents. Configure your site in YAML and focus on the content.
This site is built with Monoline Docs using its packaged styles and authoring components.
Start building
Grow with your project
Start with ordinary Markdown. Use authoring components for installation steps, guide cards, code tabs and reference tables. Add generated OpenAPI documentation when your project has an API specification.
The same published content powers local search and Markdown and AI exports.
What to expect
Basic reading and navigation work without JavaScript. Search, copying and enhanced tabs use the shared client script; React is optional for explicitly hydrated custom examples.
There is one built-in design, configurable through branding and appearance settings. See supported environments and limitations before adopting it.
Monoline Docs is available on npm. Getting started explains how to install it and create your first documentation site.
